UPDATE: Nemo's first vet visit revealed that he was not neutered; Nemo is currently recovering from his neuter surgery. Having been deemed feral by the owner of the property he was living on, Nemo is now making great progress with is socialization. He wags his tail very fast when one of his caretakers approaches him. He loves to play with other dogs too. He even has a girlfriend Bree! She's a little white Bichon/Poodle mix who is also looking for her forever home.
PREVIOUS UPDATE: We got the terrible news from the gentleman on the property, James, that Sheldon was suffering from Leukemia with a very poor prognosis. Just two days later, we were informed, that Sheldon had passed away. We are so very saddened, that little Sheldon did not have a chance to find a home, where he would have had a soft lawn to play on and cushy pillows to snooze in. We will never forget little Sheldon!
Now, Nemo is left without his best friend. Heartbroken, he is all by himself. Nemo had his first vet visit and he did fantastic. We were told by Nemo's caretaker, that he is basically feral but Nemo let us hold him, pet him and walk him around on a leash. He became more and more relaxed and was wagging his tail a lot! Nemo needs a home NOW!!!!! |
Rest in Peace, Sheldon |
Sheldon and Nemo have quite a story: James and Carol rescued them and 35 other purebred Silky Terriers from a commercial breeder who didn't sell them. All of Sheldon and Nemo's friends were placed into homes but these two cuties stayed behind. They were never properly socialized and as a result, they are shy to be touched. They will need rehabilitation and training and a GOOD GROOMING! Please contribute to their grooming, medical check up, and training so that they have a chance of finding a loving home! Sheldon and Nemo like each other, but we are NOT looking to keep them together, as they will blossom much more and open up once they are in separate environments. In other words, their chances of a "normal" and happy life are much greater in homes apart from each other. Both are ok to go into homes with other dogs or as the only dog! They are beyond adorable and after meeting them only a few times, Sheldon and Nemo already licked my hand!!!

Annie and Lefty... a love story: Lefty, a three legged mix was rescued by a young lady out of a trash can in South Central Los Angeles. His right front leg was completely mangled and had to be amputated later on. James and Carol open their home to Lefty; they wanted to make sure that he would always have a safe place. Tragically, their lives have taken a turn and Lefty and his pretty girlfriend Annie and are in need of a very special home where they can stay together. Annie is a pretty, light tan colored Shepherd/ Lab mix girl who loves to dress up in red. Both, Annie and Lefty, are middle aged and nervous around strings, so should go into a very calm adult home. Will you be this special person / family who will can give this precious pair a chance at live!
Handsome and fun! Batman is a young, athletic guy with tons of zest for life! He is very sweet and loves to get attention. Batman has not received training and is a bit of a "wild man", he likes to jump and pull on the leash. We are looking to place him into a calm, structured home. We are accepting donations for his training, which will be done prior to Batman going into a home. He is an innocent pup who loves to give kisses; Batman can't wait to join you on the many adventures life has to offer!

UPDATE: Chica's first vet visit brought upon a horrible surprise: Not only does the vet think, that Chica has suffered from UNTREATED SKIN ALLERGIES for YEARS, which causes her hair-loss and her "leather-like" skin but Chica's teeth are so bad, that you can almost pull them out with your fingers. Her gums are inflamed and the roots of her teeth are almost exposed. It looks very painful and Chica will need almost all her teeth extracted. Cost with our rescue discount: approx: $450 But we can NOT do this, until Chica has a foster home to go to and recover! PLEASE HELP Chica not suffer anymore! Chica is approx. 7-8 years young, spayed, is good with other dogs, with cats and very quiet.
Contact us today! Ingrid (310) 480 6030 [email protected] Chica, the little girl with the big ears! Chica URGENTLY needs a Foster / Home. She is VERY shy but not aggressive. Chica appears to have some sort of skin condition which does NOT seem to be contagious, as she lives with other dogs, who are fine. If you would like to donate for Chica to go to the vet, please contact us at [email protected] Chica is house trained and can go into a home with or without other dogs. |
